Sauna Maintenance FAQs
Are there any special electrical or venting requirements? The 1 and 2 person saunas simply plug into any 110V wall socket (dedicated circuit is best). The larger units require a 220V service, so you will need to have an electrician wire for this. There is a vent in the ceiling of the sauna to expel the off-gassing from your body's detoxification. These gasses will simply dissipate harmlessly into your room. There is no venting to the outside required.
What maintenance is there? None. Simple use a lot of towels on the seat and the floor to capture your sweat. If your sweating leaves some stains on the wood, wiping with a wet cloth, maybe even with a bit of vinegar, will usually dissolve the satin. You may also use a fine sand paper if you wish. Never use any chemicals or solvents in the pristine environment of your sauna.
Is it expensive to run? No. The 1 and 2 person Solarus Saunas cost less than a dime for an hour of usage. The larger units cost a little more. All units shut off automatically after one hours use.
